Our client is a 2 campus facility with the main campus
being at Berri requires a Registered Nurse. There are currently 48 beds,
but this is likely to increase as we have been allocated as one of the 4
country General Hospitals. There
are visiting specialists: opthalmology, orthopaedics, cardiology,
neurology, vascular. Berri is located 236 km
north east of Adelaide and 31 metres above sea level, Berri is a substantial
service centre on the banks of the Murray River. Our staff work in all
areas – medical and surgical and there is scope to learn new skills if
interested. The vacancy is just for experienced staff. There
is a robust Graduate Nurse Program and a student placement programme.
At present there is a South African midwife, a Zimbabwean
Anaesthetist and there are South African and African Doctors in Berri
and Barmera practice. Sponsorship is
available to candidates who have already gained South Australian Nurses
registration and are about to sit for their IELTS test. (evidence
